O mankind! We created you from male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may come to know one another. Truly, the most honoured of you in God's sight is the greatest of you in piety. God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. (Qur'an, 49:13)

The late Shaykh (r.a) has spent his whole life in Islam and for Muslims. Unabted by age, illness and difficult moments, he has been trying to reach out Ethiopian Muslim communities both at home and in Diaspora so that they would cooperate and coordinate their effort in the attempt to help their community and country.

We lost the great Alim & our teacher shaykh Muhammed Wolie. Yet, our mission and strive for the cause of Islam and Muslims need to continue. We honour our hero's not by mere grief and sympathy but by continuing with what they started and further the cause they stood for. In this respect, NEME is happy to announce...

In his distinguished effort to reach Ethiopian Muslims all over the world, the late Shaykh has been delivering online lectures, through internet, since 04/09/04, the latest of which was just a week ago, on 02/09/05.

We, the brothers and sisters on NEME, express our deep sorrow and grief on the loss of this great man. We ask Allah (swt) to grant our late father Jannatal Firdous; the necessary patience and strength to his family and relatives.

At the same time, we urge our Muslims brothers and sisters world wide to make Dua'a for him, his family and relatives.

The Shaykh died in Jeddah early Saturday, 10/09/05. He was buried in the Holy City of Mekka on the day he passed away.
